The names of each engine are derived from the look of the top of the engine.

1. Sportster

Sportsters are light and easy to handle bikes and also have a more affordable price tag than the rest of the manufacturer's line of bikes, which often makes them the first buyer's and beginner's choice.

2. Soft-Tail

The soft-tail is a very smooth riding motorcycle because it has rear suspension. That is how it recieved its name.

3. Hard-Tail

A hard-tail is a very rough riding motorcycle because it had no rear suspension. Thats how it recieved its name.

4. Chopper

A low riding motorcycle with high handle bars. It has no rear suspension and a 16" back wheel.

5. Fatboy

Fatboys are the bigger motorcycles out of the Harley-Davidson selection. It has the bigger gas tanks and bigger motors.

6. Knuclkehead

The Knucklehead has an overhead-valve design.

7. Flathead

A flathead is basically flat, it has no curves or fancy slants on it.
