Weapons
There were many different weapons of the middle ages. Some of these were flails, maces, and swords.
Maces were a staff used in the Middle Ages they were often seen as a sign of power and or Authority.
Knights used this weapon to crush their opponents armour making them vulnerable to other weapons. This weapon consists of a staff with a spiked or flanged knob on one end. They were mostly ceremonial by the 14th century.

Flails were first used as a farm implement. A flail is a long stick with a wooden ball attached to it by a piece of rope or chain. They were used as a weapon in the middle ages. As a weapon of the middle ages it was a spiked ball attached to a short wooden handel by a chain.
Swords are a short handled weapon with a long blade. They are similar to daggers but a much larger version. These weapons were normally carried in a scabbard at the side of the body. There are four different types of blades. But I am only going to tell you about one of them. It is the straight thrusting blade. Straight thrusting blades was the sword of the middle ages. Better welding techniques made the blade more tapered, which made it better for giving a lethal thrust. These were made along with broad swords with two edges made for slashing.
