She was born in Broklyn,New york in January 16, 1979. But she grew up in Detroit,were she started to singing in churches and at the school. Her parents name are Diane and Michael Haught.At the age of 9 she appered on start search ,the tv program and sang 'My valentine'a song that her mother had sung years easrly. At the age of 11 she sang with Glandy knight in a five-night stint in Las vegas.In 1992 she began to work on her debut album with the help of the singer R.kelly the album was called 'Age Ain't nothing but a number. It was released in 1994 and received heavy praise.Aaliyah came the singer of the house she was really talented and she became the younges singer that had her fist album at the age of 14. She died in August,25 2001in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
