Aaliyah was and actress and a pop start. Her mom recognized that her daugther had talent at the age of 6. Her Mother secured the services of a voice teacher even before aaliyah was enrolled in school.
Aaliyah's pre-teen years were divided between singing at school and auditioning for various TV project, she auditoned for the sit-com Family Matters at the age of 9,Whent she was 11 she performance on TV start Search (where she sang the Song of "MY Funny Valentine" as a homage to her Mom.
She had a little help her uncle introduced her to recording astist and song written named R.Kelly and the resolution collaboration was a hit. In 1994 at the age of 14 she released her firs album called Age Ain't Nothing' but a Number.
