I began teaching and coaching at Moscow in 1968, fresh out of Sterling College. I taught for 25 years before I became a K-5 princial. This is my fourth year as the elementary principal, and I really enjoy working with younger students. I teach kindergarten and first grade Physical Education and really enjoy it.
As the educational administrator for the Moscow Elementary School, it is my job to try to provide a safe and orderly environment conductive to learning. It is also my job to make the well-being of students the fundamental value in all decision making and actions. I also must try to implement the governing board of education's policies and administrative rules and regulations. I also try to maintain the standards and seek to improve the effectiveness of the profession through research and continuing professional development. It is important to try to provide professional leadership in the school and community.
My primary responsibility as elementary principal is the instructional program and to familiarize myself with all phases of instruction in my building and be available to teachers for their assistance.
